Jitesh Sharma is an Indian cricketer born on October 22, 1993, in Amravati, Maharashtra. He is a right-handed wicket-keeper batsman who currently plays for the Indian national team, Vidarbha in domestic cricket, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Recently, he was added in a 15-member squad of Asia Cup.
Domestic Career
Jitesh Sharma’s domestic cricket career began with Vidarbha, representing his native state since his professional debut in the 2013-14 season. He made his List A debut in the 2013–14 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 27 February 2014 and his first-class debut in the 2015–16 Ranji Trophy on 1 October 2015.
He was the top run-scorer for Vidarbha in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, making 298 runs in seven matches. In domestic T20 cricket, he did really well in the 2015–16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, finishing as the third-highest run-scorer with 343 runs, which included a century. Jitesh Sharma has also been the captain of Vidarbha in white-ball formats and has played for other clubs like Bhawanipore in the P. Sen Trophy.
