Known for his calm leadership and explosive batting, Rohit’s association with the event adds star power and a strong connection with fans across the cricketing world.
Why did ICC chose Rohit Sharma?
Rohit Sharma was named the ICC brand ambassador for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 due to his exceptional contributions to Indian cricket and his illustrious history with the tournament. Rohit has participated in all editions of T20I World Cup
His deep association with the tournament, having participated in all nine editions since the inaugural 2007 event, and his status as a two-time World Cup winner made him a fitting choice for the ambassador role.
