Abhigyan Abhishek Kundu is a talented young Indian cricketer. He was born on April 30, 2008, and plays as a left-handed batsman who also keeps wickets. He has done very well in youth cricket matches.
Early Career
- Kundu started playing cricket in school and state junior teams. He did really well in the Under-14 and Under-16 levels. He was the first from his school to score more than 1,000 runs in one season. He also captained his state team to win the Under-16 Nationals.
- Kundu started impressing everyone early on. By age 13, he had scored more than 21,000 runs and hit 70 centuries, including a huge unbeaten 457 in a local tournament.
- By 17, his total runs went past 28,000 with 122 centuries in Under-16 and younger age groups. This got him a place in the India Book of Records for the most runs by any Under-16 player.
Key Achievements
- Scored a record 408* in the Maharashtra U16 & U19 Premier League in 2021 and earned entry in the India Book of World Records for over 25,000 U-16 runs by 2022.
- Posted 175 as the highest individual score in state Under-19 finals and his maiden century at age 15.
- Ranked among top three run-scorers in Under-19 Championships and captained his state team.
