Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah made history as the first Indian bowler to take 100 wickets in all three formats of international cricket Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. This shows his skill and consistency across all kinds of matches. He reached his 100th T20I wicket during the first T20I against South Africa in Cuttack in December 2025, joining the 100-plus wickets he already had in Tests and ODIs.

Tests:

Jasprit Bumrah reached 100 Test wickets on July 2, 2022, in the final Test of India’s England tour at Edgbaston. He got Ollie Pope out on Day 1 for his milestone. Bumrah took 3 wickets for 27 runs, helping India bowl England out for 184. India scored 416 in reply with good scores from Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant. They enforced the follow-on, but England fought back well, with centuries from Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow, and the match ended in a draw. Now, he has 234 wickets in Tests.

ODIs:

Jasprit Bumrah took his 100th ODI wicket on July 6, 2019, during India’s World Cup match against Sri Lanka in Leeds. India scored 264/7, with Rohit Sharma making 103 and Virat Kohli 34. Bumrah got the captain, Dimuth Karunaratne, out early and finished with 2 wickets for 29 runs in 7 overs. Sri Lanka were all out for 232 in 44.5 overs. India won by 7 wickets (DLS method). Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets, and Mohammed Shami took 3. Bumrah became the second-fastest Indian to reach 100 ODI wickets in just 57 matches. He has taken 149 wickets at an average of 23.55 and a strike rate of 30.73.

T20Is:

Jasprit Bumrah took his 100th T20I wicket by dismissing Dewald Brevis in the first T20I against South Africa at Cuttack on 8 December 2025. He became the second Indian bowler to reach 100 T20I wickets and joined a special group of bowlers with 100 wickets in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. His impact is as much about control in pressure overs as it is about raw numbers. Across his T20I career, Bumrah has consistently maintained an economy rate close to or below 7 runs per over.
